About Vicki L Flaherty

I am most alive when I am creating, whether through my writing, gardening, photography, or my work. Running and yoga enrich my being. I am happiest when I’m with my husband Jim. Travel opens me to new possibilities and greater awareness. I find a special joy in helping people succeed. I’ve done something valuable when I’ve helped a colleague or friend see their brilliance and express their full potential. I have awesome opportunities to do this as an industrial/organizational psychologist through leadership, mentoring, coaching, career and other talent programs. As I've focused on living more mindfully, I've found special joy in expressing myself through poetry and photography, and in truly being in relationship with those I meet along my journey.

Vicki, your postings and expressions of all kinds illuminate our lives and remind us of the essence of life itself. Feeling alive by quieting the mind and listening to the universal messages that emerge from a tiny bug in the garden or a big blue sky above. Thank you for sharing the collective wisdom with so much elegance and selflessness.

I love this quote, and so apropos for our times. There was a point this weekend that I felt a sense of gratitude for how quiet it was in my house and then outside as I worked in the garden. Thank you, Vicki!

    • Maureen, I am so glad that you found quiet at home – and even in your garden, how wonderful (new neighbors?! ;] ). I am constantly reminding myself of all that’s possible if I move from the noise and chatter to a place of calm and quiet. Thanks for coming by and sharing, my friend!
